Stand Don’t Settle

Good morning Beautiful!  Be encouraged today and stand don’t settle!  It’s so easy to join the world in settling for second best – especially in relationships.  However, if Jesus came to provide you with an abundant life, why would you accept anything less than His best?  The enemy will do his best to tempt you to take the easier road, to give in to your desires, to get tired and quit before finishing.  But let the word of God strengthen you!

You are well able to do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you!  Maybe you don’t have a vision for what it is that you want to stand for, because what you have now seems good enough.  Know that something can only be good enough for you if it’s in God’s perfect will for your life.  What this calls for is spending time with God, allowing Him to reveal His will towards you, to you.  When you quiet your spirit before God and ask Him for help and vision, He will provide it to you.

Standing for God’s best will not make everyone in your life happy.  You’ll lose some people who called themselves your friends, and your family may not even understand.  At the end of the day, you simply will not have everyone’s approval.  This doesn’t mean that your standard should decrease at all.  Ensure your standard is in alignment with the word of God, and then stand on it!  God enjoys rewarding your faith, because it represents ULTIMATE trust in Him.

This kind of trust is developed over time.  You may not be perfect at trusting God when you initially begin working at it – but just like going to the gym and working out improves your weight and muscle tone over time, you will get better and better at it the more you do it.

Never be afraid to walk away from second best.  When you do, you’ll walk right into God’s absolute best!

Foundational Scripture for Today:Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
