Look at yourself

Good morning Beautiful!  As we continue on our journey to deeper self-love and greater self-care this week, today, let’s concentrate on your ability to look at yourself.  This really boils down to your ability to tell yourself the TRUTH about you, your life, your mind, your body, your relationship with God.  Not telling yourself the truth, or “living in a bubble” is rooted in fear that you don’t have what it takes to deal with the truth.  But the Bible says, “The truth shall make you free.”  If you trust God at His Word, then you’ve got to trust that He will help you look at yourself and tell yourself the truth.

One reason why this is important is because when you choose to ignore the truth, you’re lying to yourself.  If you can look at your life and see where you’ve experienced an unusual number of people lying you, know that you attract what you put out.  So if you’re lying to you, others will lie to you too.  You must develop the ability to look at yourself clearly, because it is a basic tenet of self-care.  You are saying to your Self, “I love you enough to tell you the truth.  Even in small amounts, I’m committed to being honest with you.”

Beautiful, you deserve the truth today – about every aspect of your life.  The very first step in changing any situation is taking 100% responsibility for where you are right now and telling yourself the truth.  But remember, if you do…the truth will make you FREE.”

Foundational Scripture for Today:  ….’If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.’ ” John 8:31-32
