Find excitement in yourself

Good morning Beautiful! When you can be yourself, know that this brings joy to God’s heart. He created you to find excitement in yourself, in who you are. It brings God glory because you’re confirming His creation! So many times, we may try to be something other than what we are in order to fit in. YOU are the only one who can know who you are and what you stand for…no one else can define that for you.

In order to discover who you are, examine yourself from 3 different angles:

1. Spiritually: When you decided to give your life to God, He decided to call you righteous – meaning, one who is RIGHT. How can this be, if you don’t always get it right? It’s because God views you through the lens of His Son Jesus. He chooses to call you pure and holy, and as you do as well, the more and more your life will align. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. 2 Corinthians 5:21

Today, call yourself righteous, pure & holy.

2. Mentally: Your mind can be elevated continually through God’s direction for you to develop the mind of Christ. This means that you think like, have wisdom like and talk like you share in the mind of God. The key word here is develop. Developing the mind of Christ starts with you dedicating your thoughts to God (all of them), and then watching for God’s direction for development. “…But we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16

Today, tell yourself that you share in the mind of Christ, and that you have wisdom.

3. Physically: From this perspective, you have to define yourself the way that the Most High defines you. He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made – so every part of your body and physical makeup was created beautifully by Him. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made…” Psalms 139:14

Today, call yourself beautiful and know that you are made exactly how you’re supposed to be.

Foundational Scripture for Today: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…” Ephesians 2:10
