Choose to be happy about the little things

Good morning Beautiful!  I once heard someone say “welcome the little things in your life, and you’re really welcoming the big things.”  When you choose to be happy about the little things, what you’re really saying is, I welcome ALL good things, not just the things that appear the way I want them to appear.

The reason why this is so important is because every single “big thing” that is a blessing from God starts out as a little thing.  It starts out looking like something that you wouldn’t even consider being THAT happy about.  From Jesus himself, to King David first killing bears and lions as a young boy leading to him being able to slay Goliath, to even the way Jesus healed people – instructing them to do basic things like dip in a river or simply get up.  There’s usually not any fireworks or big “AHA” moments when you’re given the gift of a “little thing.”

We can become wise women if we learn to implement the secret behind receiving those things we classify as big – which is to learn to be thankful for the little things.  When we are thankful for the little things someone does, the little promotion at work, the little gift someone gives us, the little tithe we give to God, the little progress made on becoming healthier, the little choice that they made to go in the right direction – the more we’re thankful for these, the more they are literally FUELED with the substance needed to grow into big things – your joy and gratefulness.

Be happy and welcome the little things Beautiful, and watch the big things grow from the sweetness of your spirit.

Foundational Scripture for Today:  “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18
