Change is natural and necessary

Good morning Beautiful! When you pray for something- & you receive it, know that it will come with an amount of change. Change is necessary because what you asked for is different than what you currently have or where you currently are. To get to where you want to go, change is a natural part of the process.

Dealing with change: Change can make you better…or bitter – through it all, you have a choice…to see the blessing that God is bringing you through it, which is to look more like His Son. Change comes in different forms. From life changes, job changes and location changes. Even changes that are internal like changing your mind, changing your spiritual development, or changes of heart. We can’t (and don’t really need to have the power to) control the changes. However, to start understanding how we make informed choices about how change affects us, it’s helpful to know why change happens.

What’s the point of change?

God shares with us the answer in Romans 8:29 – “For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son…”. The answer is pretty clear – we are changing over and over again. In order to become more like Jesus, to transform into His image, and to develop the mind of Christ. God makes you His own through change, because He loves you and you are His child.

At the end of the day, you may not always understand why changes happen. You must mature past the point of looking at your situation and judging it, as though you know exactly how things must happen. There are countless ways God can bring you to your solution. You MUST know that the entire situation you’re in right now is exactly where you are supposed to be. God intends to KEEP ON moving you through where you are and taking you higher and higher, therefore conforming you more and more into the image of His Son.

Remain obedient, focus on keeping your priorities in order (God, self, others – spouse then children, work then ministry) and the change WILL make you better!

Foundational Scripture for Today: “…and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” Colossians 3:10
