A formula for faith

Good morning beautiful! We’re focusing on faith this week – because when you have faith, it means that your stress is under control, that one comment from someone is not going to throw your whole day, and that you are radiating the joy of Lord. However, a lot of the time we walk around letting everything get to us. It’s time to implement a formula for faith and achieve true peace.

We do this by understanding 2 critical reasons we can maintain belief through it all:

#1: The JOY of the Lord is your strength.  Therefore, true faith, peace, and happiness are supported by the Lord. Nehemiah 8:10 says “This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” This day literally means every day. Every day you are on this Earth is a holy day to God. He wants to infuse you with His strength so that you can grow in Him. Strength is only obtained from a repetitious activity or exercise. When you do something repetitiously, it will become increasingly easier for you.

What does God want you to do over and over again to achieve joy/happiness? In this verse, it says “do not grieve” which can translate as “do not worry.” Worrying is negative faith and will destroy your happiness. Instead, He wants you to have faith. Faith in God calms stress and refocuses.

#2: Jesus already did it all for you. Because of this, you should focus in right now on how truly COMPLETE the work was that Jesus did for you on the cross. This is the truth that makes every challenge you’re facing in your life dissolve in the truth of our Savior. Jesus saves us over and over again every day. No matter what, your future is secure in Him. Take a moment right now and pray about that thing that’s been worrying you. It is not stronger than God, in fact, GREATER is He who is in you than he that is in the world.

Release your faith today and believe God’s report. He is your Father, and He’s FAITHFUL to His Word!

Foundational Scripture for Today: “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4
